  • What is CFH? What is the Critical Fall Height?

    CFH is the vertical distance between the surface of the play area and the highest designated play area. This height determines the impact attenuation, or a shock absorbency, required of a play surface. This reduces the possibility of injury resultant from a fall.

    Each manufacturer presents a sheet for each product supplied, giving all information summarising the performance, material and other characterisations of a product.

    A safety zone is essentially a clearly marked area set aside for the use of given product, to avoid causing harm to persons.
